Quality Control & Inspection Process
Quality control is a critical part of ceramic dinnerware production.
In our factory, inspection is not limited to final checking — it is integrated into every production stage, from raw materials to shipment.
Below is an overview of how quality control is actually handled in our ceramic factory, based on real manufacturing practice.
1. Incoming Material Inspection
Quality control begins with incoming material inspection.
All raw materials used in ceramic body and glaze preparation are checked before entering production.
We inspect material appearance, consistency, and basic performance to ensure suitability for stable ceramic production.
Only approved materials are released to the forming and glazing stages.
This step helps reduce defects and ensures consistency throughout mass production.

2. In-Process Quality Control
During production, quality control is carried out continuously at key stages to maintain product stability and consistency.
Size Control
Product dimensions are checked according to design specifications.
This includes diameter, height, and overall shape consistency for plates, bowls, cups, and other items.
Size inspection helps ensure compatibility within dinnerware sets and proper stacking during packing.
Thickness Control
Wall thickness is monitored to balance strength, weight, and firing stability.
Uneven thickness may lead to deformation or cracking during firing, so regular checks are performed during forming and drying.
Glaze Surface Inspection
Before and after firing, glaze surfaces are inspected for smoothness, uniform coverage, and visual defects.
This ensures the final product meets both functional and appearance requirements for international markets.

3. Gold Rim & Decal Inspection
Gold rim and decorated products require additional inspection steps due to higher technical complexity.
Gold Breakage Inspection
Gold rims are checked for continuity to ensure there are no broken or missing gold lines.
Uniform gold application is essential for visual quality and premium appearance.
Gold Skipping Inspection
We inspect whether gold application is skipped or uneven along the rim or decorative areas.
Special attention is paid to curves, edges, and connection points.
Color Consistency Inspection
Color consistency is checked across the same batch to avoid noticeable color differences.
This includes gold tone, decal color alignment, and overall decorative balance.
Only qualified items proceed to final inspection.
4. Final Inspection Before Shipment
Before shipment, finished products go through a final inspection stage to ensure shipment quality.
AQL or 100% Inspection
Depending on customer requirements and order type, we perform:
• AQL-based inspection
• Or 100% full inspection
Inspection standards are agreed upon before shipment.
Breakage Rate Control
Breakage rate is closely monitored during inspection and packing.
Products with cracks, chips, or hidden defects are removed to ensure shipment reliability.
Packaging & Drop Test
Export packaging is inspected for structure and protection performance.
Drop tests are conducted when required to ensure products remain safe during transportation.
5. Quality Control for Export Markets
By implementing ceramic quality control throughout the production and inspection process, we are able to supply stable and reliable ceramic dinnerware for international markets.
Our quality system supports both standard orders and customized projects, including OEM and decorated ceramic tableware.
